New Wolf Way Routes

We’ll post new routes here as they become available.

Our latest route is the Four-Ferry Wolf Cub – a circular mixed terrain ride which takes in all four of the Suffolk Foot Ferries, starting in Ipswich it follows quiet lanes and bridleways past Alton Water to Shotley where you take the Harwich Harbour Ferry to Felixstowe (via Harwich). You disembark on the shingle beach at Landguard Point and take a lovely cycle path through Landguard Nature Reserve and onto the promenade at Felixstowe, then on to the next ferry crossing at Bawdsey. The third ferry at Butley is the smallest, and most picturesque and can only take 2 people & bikes per crossing. The final ferry takes you across the harbour from Walberswick to Southwold.

The route goes by train stations at Ipswich and Halesworth making it easy to access via Greater Anglia trains.
